Australian entrepreneur Steve Sammartino and Romanian teenager Raul Oaida teamed up to produce a full-size car made of LEGO bricks -and drive it down the street! The engines run on compressed air, which makes it silent (but deadly if it doesn't hold together).

Drugs on Film
Sarah Schönfeld squeezed drops of various legal and illegal liquid drug mixtures onto negative film which had already been exposed. Each drop altered the coating of the film. Much like the effect of some of these substances on humans, this can be a lengthy process – sometimes one that can barely be stopped.

Soul of Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, turns 70
The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards hits 70 on Wednesday with another tour on the horizon, and probably a smirk for everyone who would not have bet he would make it this far in a life of excess.
The unmatched guitar legend isn’t just hitting 70 — like Mick Jagger did in August. He is also celebrating his 30th wedding anniversary with former model Patti Hanson, with whom he has two daughters. He also has three children with the Italian actress Anita Pallenberg.

Viele technische Geräte oder Software kontaktieren den Hersteller oder andere Unternehmen, ohne dass der Nutzer davon weiß oder dafür gesorgt hat. Um diese Produkte zu identifizieren, hat der Delmenhorster System- und Netzwerkadministrator Christian Drieling ein Wiki aufgesetzt und nun online gebracht. Allerdings mit Anlaufproblemen: Nachdem Drielings Projekt kurz im Weblog von Felix Leitner erwähnt wurde, ging der von ihm angemietete Server zwischenzeitlich arg in die Knie. Er will die Liste erweitern und ruft dazu zur Mitarbeit auf.

Brazil will not grant Snowden asylum: report
Brazil has no plans to grant asylum to Edward Snowden even after the former U.S. National Security Agency contractor offered on Tuesday to help investigate revelations of spying on Brazilians and their president, a local newspaper reported.
The Folha de S.Paulo newspaper, citing unnamed government officials, said the Brazilian government has no interest in investigating the mass Internet surveillance programs Snowden revealed in June and does not intend to give him asylum.
