Will the Far Right Doom Austria's Mainstream Parties?

Despite their worst defeat in postwar history, Austria's Social Democrats and conservatives are preparing to enter into a second coalition government. But gains made by the country's far right, suggest the future could be dim for Austria's two mainstream parties.

No one pays much mind to the short, elegant man standing at a taxi stand in front of Vienna's Hofburg Imperial Palace, once home to the Habsburg dynasty. With his salt-and-pepper hair, alert eyes and bushy eyebrows, he spends a full 20 minutes standing among the people without being recognized. He's on his mobile telephone trying to build a new government for Austria.

Dear! Change the Lightbulb, I Lost the Internet!

"This is a unique opportunity to create a transcendent technology that not only enables energy-efficient lighting, but also creates the next generation of secure wireless communications," said Prof Thomas Little of Boston Uni.

The folks in Vienna just put themselves on the Lego map by building a record breaking Lego tower. At 29.48m the size is nothing to sneeze at, in fact it required a crane for the final construction. It was built by hundreds of children to celebrate the four-day 100 Years of Friends of Children festival and really put the hurt on Legoland Windsor in England - beating them by a whole 18cm.

Sarah Palin has accused presidential candidate Barack Obama of "palling around" with terrorists - referring to his acquaintance with a former member of the Weather Underground. So who were the Weather Underground?
