CNN Holograms – Behind the Scenes Video
While rival news networks are trying hard to make us believe that CNN holograms were actually tomograms, CNN news anchors continue to refer to their election-night 3D stunt as a hologram.

US-WAHL IM ORF - Rassismus-Vorwürfe gegen prominenten Journalisten
Klaus Emmerich, ehemals Chefredakteur und USA-Korrespondent des öffentlich-rechtlichen österreichischen Fernsehsenders ORF, ist ein journalistisches Urgestein. Doch der gute Ruf des Journalisten, dessen Laufbahn vor 61 Jahren begann, wurde nun durch seine eigenen Äußerungen diskreditiert.
Bei einer Fernsehdiskussion zum Ausgang der US-Wahl schockierte der inzwischen pensionierte Journalist mit Bemerkungen wie dieser: "Ich möchte mich nicht von einem Schwarzen in der westlichen Welt dirigieren lassen. Wenn sie sagen, des ist eine rassistische Bemerkung: richtig, ist gar keine Frage."

Blamable Anekdoten
Sarah Palin weint man im republikanischen Wahlkampfteam offenbar keine Träne nach: Immer mehr Ex-Mitarbeiter rächen sich mit blamablen Anekdoten über die vormalige Vizepräsidentschaftskandidatin. Demnach wusste sie etwa nicht, dass Afrika ein Kontinent ist und gab sich noch hemmungsloser dem Shopping hin als gedacht. Berater empfing sie auch schon einmal mit nichts als einem Handtuch bekleidet. Noch in der Wahlnacht jagte man sie offenbar mit Schimpf und Schande davon. Doch Palin plant anscheinend schon ihr Comeback.

Der Raiffeisenkonzern, der im Medienbereich bereits am "Kurier", der News-Gruppe und der ORF-Sendetechniktochter ORS beteiligt ist, zeigt wie berichtet Interesse an ORF 1. Raiffeisen-Generalanwalt Christian Konrad bestätigt nun im Interview mit dem Fachmagazin "Der Österreichische Journalist" entsprechende Spekulationen. "Wir sind prinzipiell an Wachstum interessiert. Wie Sie ja sicher wissen, braucht der ORF derzeit auch dringend Geld", wird Konrad in der aktuellen Ausgabe zitiert.

CNN's "Wolf Blitzer" android to interview 3D holograms on election night
I'm going out on a limb here, I realise, but it seems highly likely that this might actually be the best thing ever:
...Instead of the split screen or window TV viewers might typically see during live remote interviews [on election night], the Obama spokesperson will be projected as a three-dimensional hologram, making it appear as if he or she is in the Manhattan studio with [Wolf] Blitzer. The network plans to conduct similar holographic interviews with representatives from the McCain campaign in Phoenix.
