Judge Reviewing Pirate Bay Trial Bias Is Removed for Bias
The judge assigned to review whether the trial judge in the Pirate Bay trial was biased has now been removed — for bias, of course.
The convoluted web of potential scandal further complicates the April 17 copyright infrigment convictions of the four founders of The Pirate Bay, the world’s most notorious BitTorrent tracker.
Judge Ulrika Ihrfelt was assigned to investigate whether the four should be granted a retrial based on revelations that the original trial judge is a member of industry copyright-protection groups. But Ihrfelt was removed from the case Wednesday amid allegations that she was a member of the same organizations, a Swedish newspaper reports.

Dog-o-Matic Washes Your Dog, Traumatizes Them For Life
Yes, this is a real device, and no, it’s not meant as a punishment. Apparently the inventor has had such success with the Dog-o-Matic in France that she’s going to start distributing these all across Europe. Now I’m sure that in reality your dog isn’t having quite as bad of a time as we might think, but it still looks like you’re just popping them into a giant front-loading washing machine. If you’re ever in France and you really want your dog to hate you, just insert $47 and toss your dog in.

Shit We're Diggin': Ginou Choueiri's Potato Portraits
I chose the potato to portray human faces because of the many striking parallels. Not only is their skin porous like ours, but their skin texture and color is very similar, and like us, they come in different sizes, shapes and forms. Potatoes grow, live, and then decay, mirroring the ephemeral existence and fragility of our own human nature.

Pirate Hunting: A Man's Cruise
I've found a Somali cruise package that departs from Sawakin (in the Sudan) and docks at Bagamoya (in Tanzania). The Cost is a bit high @ 800 per person double occupancy but I didn't find that offensive. What I found enticing is that the cruise company is encouraging people to bring their 'High powered weapons' along on the cruise. If you don't have weapons you can rent them right there on the boat. They claim to have a master gunsmith on board and will have reloading parties every afternoon. The cruise lasts from 4-8 days and nights and costs a maximum of $3200 per person double occupancy (4 days). All the boat does is sail up and down the coast of Somalia waiting to get hijacked by pirates. Here are some of the costs and claims associated with the package.
