Polar bear photographed blowing bubble
The giant creature performed the stunt in front of onlookers in a glass zoo tunnel in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Peter Schmidt, a retired doctor, took the photograph after spotting the bear in mid-blow.
He said: "When I went to visit the zoo I met a TV crew. There is a tunnel under the water where you can see the polar bears and sea lions.

Missing Canadian teenager survives three days on ice floe
A Canadian teenager has been rescued unharmed, apart from minor frostbite, after drifting for almost three days on an ice floe together with two polar bear cubs and the carcass of their mother which he shot in self defence.
The 17-year-old, who was named locally as Jupi Nakoolak, was suffering from hypothermia after the temperature fell below -15C, but was otherwise well, conscious and speaking to his rescuers, who crawled across ice floes to reach him.

American Medical Association Reverses Position, Calls For Review of Medical Pot
For years, one of the main arrows in the quiver of anti-pot zealots in arguing against medical marijuana (along with the federal pot prohibition, recently blunted by the Obama Administration) has been "But the American Medical Association says pot has no medical value." As of today, that's no longer true.

Drugs tests are to be offered to all Italian MPs and senators from tomorrow in a bid to prove their parliament is not an 'opium smoking den'.
The testing of Italy's serving politicians is not obligatory and has been promoted by Carlo Giovanardi, a senator with Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's People of Freedom Party.

Teenager trapped on iceberg with three polar bears
A teenager has been dramatically rescued after becoming trapped on an ice floe with three polar bears.
The Canadian, named locally as Jupi Nakoolak, was discovered drifting in the Arctic sea after he had embarked on a hunting expedition with his 67-year-old uncle.
It is understood they got into trouble when one of their snowmobiles broke down.
