Buckminster Fuller Challenge 2010 Finalists announced
Buckminster Fuller would be proud. The annual challenge held in his name is not some pie-in-the-sky design competition where the slickest rendering wins; instead the Buckminster Fuller Challenge seeks "workable solution[s] to one of the world's most significant challenges such as water scarcity, food supply, and energy consumption." 215 entrants from around the world threw their hats into the ring this year, and competition was reportedly stiff.

Anti-Piracy Group Says: 'Child Porn Is Great' Since It Gets Politicians To Block File Sharing Sites
For many years, we've seen the entertainment industry make totally bogus and unsubstantiated claims about file sharing sites being hotbeds of child pornography in an effort to get them to regulate or shut down those services. Of course, the actual evidence shows that file sharing porn is no worse than what's on the wider internet. But that doesn't stop the entertainment industry from making such bogus claims -- and it seems like they're gleefully admitting it these days.

Steve Wozniak’s iPhone Prototype T-Shirt
During last week’s iPhone leak saga, Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, reached out to us with a story: The morning of the iPad launch, an engineer showed Woz an iPad for two minutes. For this he was fired.
It’s a story that paints Apple as many people already see the company: ruthlessly secretive, and even vindictive. It also sheds some light on the story of Gray Powell, an Apple engineer whose breach of secrecy was at once less intentional, more severe and infinitely more public—until now. In the words of Woz:

Photos From Malcolm McLaren's Funeral Fit For A King...
This is the kind of funeral every goth and punk dreams of when they cuddle into their totally ironic Disney Princess sheets at night. British punk legend Malcolm McClaren’s funeral procession went through London today and it was an extravagant spectacle. You wouldn’t expect anything less.

Banksy graffiti feud given a fresh coat
The history of art has been coloured by fierce and often glaringly public feuds between celebrated artists of the day. From Turner and Constable to Whistler and Ruskin, long-standing and public battles have kept generations of art lovers engrossed, outraged or simply amused.
But few artistic spats have been played out in such a public manner as the current standoff between Banksy, the internationally renowned bestselling graffiti artist, and King Robbo, one of the founding fathers of London's graffiti scene.

Bolivian president Evo Morales blames sex problems on chickens
Morales told an environmental conference on Tuesday that chicken producers inject the birds with female hormones, which he said can lead to baldness and sexual issues in men who eat the chicken.
There's an amount of confusion over exactly what Morales said, depending on which translation you read. The Associated Press reported that he said 'and because of that, men who consume them have problems being men' - suggesting he was talking about chickens causing impotence.
