UC DAVIS NOVEMBER 18, 2011 “PEPPER SPRAY INCIDENT” TASK FORCE REPORT MARCH 2012
Introduction Our overriding conclusion can be stated briefly and explicitly. The pepper spraying incident that took place on November 18, 2011 should and could have been prevented. On November 18, 2011, University of California, Davis, police officers used pepper spray on students sitting in a line in the midst of a protest and “occupation” on the campus quad. Viral images of the incident triggered immediate and widespread condemnation of the police action. To assist the Task Force with fact finding and the identification of best practices in policing, the University engaged Kroll, Inc., an internat ionally known risk management firm. Kroll completed the final draft of its report on Feb. 22, 2012 (the “Kroll Report”). The Kroll Report describes at length the events leading up to this incident. In brief, at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011, tents were erected on the Quad at the Davis campus. The Administration decided to remove the tents, instructing police to do so at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011. While attempting to remove tents, the police arrested several individuals. Subsequently, in the midst of a growing group of people, the police officers employed pepper spray to remove several students linking arms in a line across a walkway in the Quad.

Forscher an der Universität Cambridge haben eine Methode entwickelt, mit der sich Papier, das mit einem Laserdrucker bedruckt wurde, wieder „entdrucken“ läßt. Das Verfahren, das mit verschiedenen Arten von Lasern funktioniert, soll die Wiederverwendung des Papiers ermöglichen. Man muß es dazu nicht erst wegwerfen und schreddern. Die klimaschädlichen Emissionen der Recycling-Industrie ließen sich durch das Entdrucken um die Hälfte reduzieren.

Up to 40,000 Norwegians have staged an emotionally charged singalong in Oslo near the court building where Anders Behring Breivik is on trial for the murder of 77 people in a protest organisers said showed he had not broken their tolerant society.
"It's we who win," said guitar-strumming folk singer Lillebjørn Nilsen as he led the mass singalong and watched the crowd sway gently in the rain. Many held roses above their heads, and some wept.

Kermit has run afoul of Germany's media authorities. ZAK, the federal commission charged with regulating the German airwaves, found Kermit guilty of illegal product placement in an appearance last year on commercial network Pro7.

Was ist "Dronabinol" ?
"Dronabinol" ist die aktuelle Bezeichnung für ein Gemisch aus natürlichen Cannabinoiden, deren Gehalt an natürlichen delta-9-THC größer als 95% ist und der von delta-8-THC soll geringer als 2 % der Masse des Gemischs sein. Der Rest darf auch andere Cannabinoide beinhalten.
Diese Preise scheinen mir ein schlechter Witz zu sein
1000mg = 1gr./THC = 860 €
Das entspricht der Menge welche ein Kranker pro Tag benötigt ( Insbesondere Schmerzpatienten).

No Fugging chance: Fucking village told they can't be renamed Fugging because name is already taken
The poor townsfolk of Fucking, Austria, just can’t win. The residents decided that after years of ridicule by English speakers that it was time to change their name to something less giggly. There was just one problem. The name is already taken.
The villagers choose the name Fugging, but there is already a Fugging in Austria. It just happens to be the the residents of Fugging once called their town Fucking also. Apparently those folks are a bit less tolerant to foreigners making fun of them because they changed their name in 1836.
“Nobody alive now remembers why it was changed from Fucking to Fugging, but it was and that is now our name. We think one Fugging in Austria is enough,” said Fugging Mayor Andreas Dockner.</p>

Caviar speed-eating world championship held in Russia
Hundreds of guests attended the competition, held at a Moscow restaurant called The Apartment. Twelve people were chosen as contestants by lottery. The competitors were to consume half a kilogram of black caviar as quickly as possible.
The competition was won by Alexander Valov, a stocky 49-year-old man who came to the competition in a business suit. He conquered the other contestants by devouring his half-kilogram valued at £3,100 ($5,000) in one minute, 26 seconds. As a prize, he won 10,000 rubles (£211, $340) and more caviar to take home.
