Chinese Hacking Team Caught Taking Over Decoy Water Plant
A hacking group accused of being operated by the Chinese army now seems to be going after industrial control systems.
A Chinese hacking group accused this February of being tied to the Chinese army was caught last December infiltrating a decoy water control system for a U.S. municipality, a researcher revealed on Wednesday.

Berlusconi rails against 'uncontrollable' judiciary after criminal conviction upheld
Silvio Berlusconi, Italy's longest-serving postwar prime minister, has railed against the country's "uncontrollable and uncontrolled" judiciary and accused them of persecuting him with a "fury that has no equal anywhere in the civilised world" hours after being handed his first definitive criminal conviction in more than two decades of legal battles.
In a defiant video message broadcast on one of his own private television channels, the billionaire centre-right leader denied having committed the tax fraud of which he was convicted and for which he was sentenced to a four-year jail term by Italy's supreme court. "No false invoice exists in the history of [Berlusconi's television empire] Mediaset," he said.

NSA pays £100m in secret funding for GCHQ
The US government has paid at least £100m to the UK spy agency GCHQ over the last three years to secure access to and influence over Britain's intelligence gathering programmes.
The top secret payments are set out in documents which make clear that the Americans expect a return on the investment, and that GCHQ has to work hard to meet their demands. "GCHQ must pull its weight and be seen to pull its weight," a GCHQ strategy briefing said.

Wien - Ein 36-jähriger Wiener, der dafür verantwortlich war, dass eine junge Frau irrtümlich aus einer Mineralwasserflasche trank, in die er unverdünntes Gammabutyrolacton (GBL) gefüllt hatte, ist Donnerstagmittag im Straflandesgericht zu zwei Jahren unbedingter Haft verurteilt worden. Die 27-Jährige war am 6. April an den Folgen des eingenommenen Liquid Ecstasy gestorben.

Uruguay: Parlament stimmt für Legalisierung von Marihuana
In Uruguays Apotheken soll künftig Marihuana angeboten werden, Konsumenten können bis zu 40 Gramm monatlich kaufen. Die linke Regierung treibt das Projekt voran, das Parlament hat sich nun für die Legalisierung ausgesprochen. Nicht alle Uruguayer sind begeistert.
Montevideo - In Lateinamerika wird heftig über die Legalisierung von Marihuana gestritten. Einige Experten sind der Meinung, dass die Drogenkartelle so besser bekämpft werden können - indem der Mafia eine Einnahmequelle entzogen wird. Selbst Papst Franziskus thematisierte die Legalisierung von Rauschmitteln bei seiner Brasilien-Reise, sprach sich aber dagegen aus.
