Government 'spends €600,000 on Habsburg website'


Austrian newspapers report today (Thurs) that the coalition of Social Democrats (SPÖ) and People’s Party (ÖVP) invested 600,000 Euros in the creation of the homepage www.habsburger.net which does not feature an English version yet.

Ende einer unrühmlichen Angelegenheit: Erst hatte das ZDF Kurt Westergaard ausgeladen, dann verwickelte sich der Sender in Widersprüche. Jetzt ist der umstrittene Mohammed-Karikaturist doch bei "Markus Lanz" zu sehen - neben Schlagerveteranen und Tanzsternchen.

Google misses German regulator Street Car Wi-Fi data grab deadline


Google has failed to hand over some data it inadvertently collected from Wi-Fi networks to German regulators.

Earlier this month German prosecutors launched an investigation into the company’s interception of private Wi-Fi data, after Google admitted that its world-roving Street View cars had scooped up information sent over Wi-Fi networks, thereby contradicting previous assurances that no such data had been collected by its snoopmobiles.
