US-Armee ändert Strategie im Kampf gegen Drogenhandel
Der US-Sondergesandte für Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke, geht bei der Bekämpfung des Drogenhandels neue Wege: Statt Opium-Felder zu vernichten, soll die US-Armee den Schmuggel stärker bekämpfen. Zudem sollen afghanische Bauern beim Anbau anderer Produkte gefördert werden.

U.S. Makes Major Shift in Afghan Anti-Drug Plan
The United States is to change the way it deals with the massive poppy growing industry in Afghanistan.
Instead of destroying the crops it will spend money encouraging Afghan farmers to grow different ones.
