The Dutch anti-piracy outfit BREIN has summoned The Pirate Bay’s founders to court through Twitter and Facebook. Emboldened by recent events in Sweden, BREIN is demanding a total blackout of the site in the Netherlands and has scheduled a court hearing for July 21st.

Rapidshare Ordered To Filter Content
TorrentFreak reports that the Regional Court in Hamburg, Germany, has ruled that file-hosting service Rapidshare must proactively filter certain content. Music industry outfit GEMA asked the court to ban Rapidshare from making 5,000 tracks from its catalogue available on the Internet.

It’s unclear exactly when the word “dope” jumped from its negative noun form (as a euphemism for idiot or dummy) to its positive adjective form (as in, “so-and-so’s new record is dope!”) We here at Crustcake suspect it was right around the time illegal drugs and rock n’ roll reached an equal foothold in youth culture. As an unsurprising result, the word in its current form stands out significantly in the glossary of rock and metal’s gruesome grimoire.

Quincy police arrested a man advertising his wares with the words “420 help is here” on the online classified site Craigslist. Drug detectives knew that in the cannabis culture, 420 means getting high on marijuana.
