Wireless internet enabled laptops and devices like BlackBerries and iPhones have been true life-savers for travelers. Back before the whole wireless internet explosion, the frequent flying businessman, the leisure traveler and the vacationing mom and dad all had to be content to exist in a sort of purgatory while moving from point A to point B.

Ferrari’s Big Bluff
Ferrari says it will walk away from Formula 1 next year if the people making the rules adopt a two-tiered regulatory structure and budget cap that sharply limits how much teams can spend each season.
The legendary automaker joins Toyota, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso in threatening to bow out if the Federation Internationale d’Automobile doesn’t back down. While the other teams are only making noise at this point, Ferrari’s board of directors voted Monday to call it quits if the rules are adopted.

White House Czar Calls for End to 'War on Drugs'
The Obama administration's new drug czar says he wants to banish the idea that the U.S. is fighting "a war on drugs," a move that would underscore a shift favoring treatment over incarceration in trying to reduce illicit drug use.
In his first interview since being confirmed to head the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Gil Kerlikowske said Wednesday the bellicose analogy was a barrier to dealing with the nation's drug issues.

Kiffen gegen die Krise
Es müssen ja nicht immer Konjunkturpakete sein: Die Linke will mit der Legalisierung von Cannabis zur wirtschaftlichen Erholung beitragen. Dabei kann sie sich auf niemanden geringeren als Arnold Schwarzenegger berufen.

Cocaine and LSD found in air of Spanish cities
Air pollution has long been a fact of life in Spanish cities, but scientists now say that it is not just smog that chokes people as they walk to work or stroll through the park.
A new study has found the air in Madrid and Barcelona is also laced with at least five drugs - most prominently cocaine.
