CNN video: Ecstasy used to treat PTSD


CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta reported that a Georgia woman has used ecstasy to treat her post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Gail Westerfield has had depression going back to a childhood assault and rape later in life. She was given ecstasy as part of a pilot study being done by Dr. Michael Mitheofer.

Attorneys for Palin email hacker: 'Don't call him hacker'


Attorneys for the University of Tennessee student accused of breaking into Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's email account have filed a small forest's worth of court documents in defense of the high-profile suspect. Among them is a motion to prohibit prosecutors from referring to their client as a hacker.

Bin Laden 'cut off from al-Qaeda'


The CIA says Osama Bin Laden is isolated from the day-to-day operations of al-Qaeda, but that the organisation is still the greatest threat to the US.

CIA director Michael Hayden said the Saudi militant was probably hiding in the tribal area of north-west Pakistan.

Mr Hayden said Bin Laden was "putting a lot of energy into his own survival" and that his capture remained the US government's top priority.
