Prince Sues Musicians For Making A Tribute Album For His Birthday
It's been really disappointing watching how Prince has squandered what had been seen as a enlightened view of how music works in this day and age. Instead of continuing to embrace that, and use it to his advantage, Prince has become fantastically anti-fan, and day-by-day seems to be destroying his reputation. It started with threatening fan sites, quickly followed up by lawsuits against YouTube, eBay and the Pirate Bay, and more recently has involved a bizarre and ill-advised strategy of taking down YouTube videos that he probably had no right to take down.

UN warns of rebel-held drug surge
A surge in the cultivation of opium and coca in rebel-held areas threatens to undermine recent progress in drug control efforts, says a UN report.
Afghanistan had a record opium harvest last year and coca leaf production in Colombia increased 27%, according to The World Drug Report 2008.

2.7 tons of hashish has been recovered by the authorities in Murcia
The French/Spanish network of eight people stored the drugs in warehouses in Cartagena. 2.7 tons of hashish valued at 3.5 million € has been recovered in Murcia and eight people arrested. Seven Spaniards and a Frenchman are now in custody.

Potentially Offensive License Plate To Be Replaced For Free
Thanks to some text message-savvy grandchildren, North Carolina drivers whose license plates have the potentially offensive "WTF" letter combination can replace the tags for free.
The News & Observer of Raleigh reported Tuesday the state Division of Motor Vehicles has notified nearly 10,000 holders of license plates with the letter combination.
