Das in Deutschland bereits weit verbreitete Page-Peel zum Protest gegen die Vorratsdatenspeicherung liegt jetzt auch in einer österreichischen Variante vor. Anlass ist die Aktion “SOS Überwachungsstaat” mit einer parlamentarischen Petition gegen das neue, in einer Nacht- und Nebelaktion beschlossene Sicherheitspolizeigesetz.

Was Britney 'slimmed down' in new video?
Britney Spears' video for her new single Piece of Me has received a mixed response from critics, amid reports the singer was digitally-slimmed down for the promo.
The troubled singer hits out at the paparazzi and tabloids in her second release from her latest album Blackout.
The 26-year-old appears much slimmer in the official video than a previous un-edited version, which was leaked onto the internet earlier this month.
Spot the difference: has Britney Spears been digitally-slimmed down for her new promo, Piece of Me?

SF Considers Tax on Sugared Drinks
I hope this doesn't get the "crazy" label applied to San Francisco again. What am I thinking, of course it will.
SF is considering taxing sellers of sugary drinks, such as soda. This would be part of mayor Gavin Newsom's new "Shape up San Francisco" program, which started this past summer with a walking program.

Republican businessman funds pro-marijuana film
Wealthy LA businessman and Republican bigwig David Fleming financed a docudrama that promotes medical marijuana. His wife Jean, who uses marijuana daily to ease symptoms manuscript post-poloio syndrome, co-wrote the script and produced the film, called "Smoke Screen."

Dad sells son's 90-dollar video game online for more than 9000
After catching his 15-year-old smoking pot, a father sold the hard-to-get "Guitar Hero III" video game he bought his son for 90 dollars for Christmas at an online auction, fetching 9,000 dollars.
The sale took place after the father spent two weeks searching for the video game for the Nintendo Wii gameboard.
