The icons of an age are often immortalized by artists. Artist Gerald Laing may not be as famous as Andy Warhol for his Pop Art portraits but he has been doing them since the early 1960s when he created Pop Art pictures of Brigitte Bardot.

Live’r Than You’ll Ever Be
Greetings and salutations! It’s been a while, but we trust you’ve had a rather splendid year - it’s been a crazy one for us, as per usual. All that continual re-pointing of the old headsphere in every which way direction has been quite overwhelming. Our Eric has been out and about DJing here, there and everywhere, and we spent the summer having lots of fun growing a munster of a live show, which we’ve been taking out and around when the opportunities arise.

"Birth of a Building" with the BBC Radiophonic Workshop
In 1960 the BBC Television Centre's construction was documented in a short 15 minute film with a mind blowing soundtrack by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. I'm not sure if this music has been included in any of the reissue cds from the past few years but there are many sublime moments sprinkled throughout this film.

IRSeek loggt in meist populären Channels im IRC sämtliche Konversationen. Auf der Website http://www.irseek.com/ kann man nach Stichwörtern in diesen archivierten Konversationen sämtlicher Nutzer suchen und sich das gesamte Log des Channels für den betreffenden Tag anschauen. Private Chats, die nicht im geloggten Channel stattfinden, sind dabei selbstverständlich nicht betroffen.

Microsoft kills Santa Claus
Microsoft has killed Santa Claus today, after an unsatisfactory attempt to restrain the North Pole-based jolly old elf from instant messaging children about oral sex.
Although Redmond has been challenged by compassion in the past, this appears to be the first time on record it has out-and-out killed the very manifestation of goodwill.
