Army tests James Bond style tank that is 'invisible'
New technology that can make tanks invisible has been unveiled by the Ministry of Defence.
In secret trials last week, the Army said it had made a vehicle completely disappear and predicted that an invisible tank would be ready for service by 2012.
The new technology uses cameras and projectors to beam images of the surrounding landscape onto a tank.

Environmentalists alarmed by 'mass dolphin suicide'
The mysterious "mass suicide" of 152 dolphins washed up on Iran's coast over the past month has alarmed environmentalists, with the blame pointed at regional fishing practices.
At the end of September, 79 Striped Dolphins were found washed up off the southern port of Jask in southern Iran, and last week another 73 dolphins were found dead in the same area.

It's Hallowe'en and Amy's husband looks like the living dead
Hallowe'en came early for Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who was spotted with the singer in Brussels looking frighteningly pale and gaunt.
Blake was seen in Brussels after he joined Amy for the final leg of her European tour amid claims the pair have been feuding constantly.

Britney Spears In New Cocaine Controversy
Britney Spears invited a man to snort cocaine off her chest during a wild party at her Hollywood mansion just two days after losing visitation rights to see her sons, it has been reported.
Scott Kohler, 29, claims he and a group of 10 other strangers were invited to join Spears for a night of heavy partying on October 19, when the troubled star drowned her sorrows with vodka and cavorted with the men in her jacuzzi.

Drug submarines found in Colombia
The Colombian navy has seized two homemade submarines believed to have been built by the Farc rebel group to smuggle cocaine out of the country.
The two fibreglass vessels were found in a clandestine shipyard outside the country's largest port, Buenaventura.

William Koch Alleges Another Wine Fraud
I just mentioned him yesterday and now William Koch, the deep-pocketed wine collector who made news earlier this year when he sued German collector Hardy Rodenstock over wines owned by Thomas Jefferson that proved to be counterfeit, is on the warpath again. The Wall Street Journal reports that Koch filed a lawsuit in New York City in regards to a 2005 Zachys auction where he spent $3.7 million on what he thought were rare Bordeaux wines but later turned out to be fake.

We've opened up a new front on the war on terror. It's an attack on the unique, the unorthodox, the unexpected. It's a war on different. If you act different, you might find yourself investigated, questioned and even arrested -- even if you did nothing wrong, and had no intention of doing anything wrong.
The problem is a combination of citizen informants and a CYA attitude among police that results in a knee-jerk escalation of reported threats.

The Uncertain Future of BitTorrent
The people behind the popular BitTorrent tracker are working on a new version of the BitTorrent protocol that could become the successor to the current one, maintained by BitTorrent Inc. The company founded by Bram Cohen — original author of this protocol — now has decided to close the source for several new features in the BitTorrent protocol, and this "gives them too much power and influence". The new file format would be called .p2p, and would maintain backwards compatibility with current .torrent files.
