Chinatown's urban legend

One of Fresno's best-known urban legends isn't just a legend anymore: There really are tunnels under Chinatown.

A group working to preserve Chinatown is shining a light on what many considered to be just a rumor, opening the doors to a dimly lit network of basements and tunnels under Kern Street.

3,000-year-old beehives found in Israel

Archaeologists digging in northern Israel have discovered evidence of a 3,000-year-old beekeeping industry, including remnants of ancient honeycombs, beeswax and what they believe are the oldest intact beehives ever found.

The findings in the ruins of the city of Rehov this summer include 30 intact hives dating to around 900 B.C., archaeologist Amihai Mazar of Jerusalem’s Hebrew University told The Associated Press. He said it offers unique evidence that an advanced honey industry existed in the Holy Land at the time of the Bible.

Germans plan 578m-high überpyramid

A German consortium has announced its plan to build the world's largest structure - a 578m-high "Giant Pyramid", designed to offer paying customers the chance to "outlast personal physical existence", as the group's website puts it.

The plan is pretty simple: build a big pyramid where anyone willing to stump up about €700 can get a burial spot.

Cover-up allegation over Chinese hackers

Ministers were accused yesterday of trying to cover up the extent of Chinese cyber-attacks on Whitehall and urged to adopt a more robust approach to Beijing about the incidents.

The Guardian yesterday reported that Chinese hackers, some believed to be from the People's Liberation Army, have been attacking the computer networks of British government departments. The attackers targeted the network at the Foreign Office and other departments.

Hacker Marks 25th Anniversary of First Computer Virus

What began as a ninth-grade prank, a way to trick already-suspicious friends who had fallen for his earlier practical jokes, has earned Rich Skrenta notoriety as the first person ever to let loose a personal computer virus.

Although over the next 25 years, Skrenta started the online news business Topix, helped launch a collaborative Web directory now owned by Time Warner Inc.'s (TWX) Netscape and wrote countless other computer programs, he is still remembered most for unleashing the "Elk Cloner" virus on the world.

Google Search Tricks

A few months back, I wrote an article on how to find files such as pdf, mp3 etc by using Google search engine but I now realized the article barely touched the surface. After rummaging through the Youtube, I found a nice tutorial that shows in detail on how to specifically find a particular file.
