Brain Story
I've just noticed that probably one of the best TV series on psychology and neuroscience ever produced, the BBC's Brain Story, is available on public bittorrent servers for download.
It is a six part series covering virtually every area of contemporary neuropsychology, including the major researchers, discoveries, techniques and even many of the patients who have been the subjects of classic case studies that have helped us understand the curious effects of brain injury.

The original road was built in 1820-1825 by the Austrian Empire to connect the former Austrian province of Lombardia with the rest of Austria, covering a climb of 1871 m. Since then, the route has changed very little. The 60 hairpin bends, 48 of them on the northern side numbered with stones, are a challenge to motorists.

The Insecurity of Widgets
I caught up with Iftach Ian Amit from Finjan right after his talk at Defcon. He explained why widgets and gadgets on various websites and platforms are inherently insecure, despite the fact that standards exist to create secure gadgets. No platform is safe from these insecurities, as evidenced by a currently unpatched Microsoft vulnerability that Ian wasn't willing to discuss in detail.
