Airline Upgrades Toilet to Include Bidet

If you have ever used a toilet in a Japanese home you will notice some nice features such as a warmed seat and a built in bidet, a nozzle the size of a pencil that comes out from underneath the toilet seat and squirts water.

If you have not seen one or visited Japan you may still have a chance to use one of these nifty toilets.

Researcher's Analysis of al Qaeda Images Reveals Surprises

Neal Krawetz, a researcher and computer security consultant, gave an interesting presentation today at the BlackHat security conference in Las Vegas about analyzing digital photographs and video images for alterations and enhancements.

Using a program he wrote (and provided on the conference CD-ROM) Krawetz could print out the quantization tables in a JPEG file (that indicate how the image was compressed) and determine the last tool that created the image -- that is, the make and model of the camera if the image is original or the version of Photoshop that was used to alter and re-save the image.

Inspirational teenager

When I met Daniel Brusilovsky he impressed me. Why? I can’t exactly say, but everyone who watches this video so far around the office says “wow.” Daniel’s 14, has an IT job and an Apple-focused podcast and we have a neat discussion about lots of things including what social networks he’s on and how he does it all on an old computer that’s not even a Mac (can we get donations to buy him a new Mac?)
