The 50 Most Important People on the Web
Despite what Time magazine would have you believe, you are not the most powerful or influential person on the Web. At PC World we love online personals, social networks, and videos of people falling on their keisters as much as the next person, but without the folks who create the Craigslists, MySpaces, and YouTubes of the world, much of the Web's potential would be lost among spam sites and other online detritus.

Man prangs £830k Bugatti Veyron
An unknown driver trashed an £830,000 Bugatti Veyron on Sunday in what UK tabloid The Sun is calling "the world's costliest road crash". The 253mph beast crashed in pouring rain on a 40mph stretch of the B375 near Chertsey, Surrey, while allegedly doing 100mph. The driver apparently lost control and the hand-built French motor hit a Vauxhall Astra before "smashing into trees up a 3ft bank".

30 Days with Linux
Many people, daunted by Vista's hardware requirements and product activation issues, claim on various boards how they plan to "switch to Linux." We spend 30 days using nothing but Ubuntu Linux to find out if this is truly a viable alternative for the consumer.

Lonely Planet TV
Another video site but this time from the makers of the famous Lonely Planet books. Funnily they’re keeping everything quite open. You would expected to have only travel/culture vids categorised into countries and let people download the travel tips to their iPods but no, nothing. Can’t even embed a vid on another site. But then they’re only in Beta.

Surprising things hidden in YouTube flash code traces
I've wound up hacking a lot of Flash recently, which is a real PITA if you're used to real development environments. For one thing, there's no way to get debug output from a flash widget once it's been embedded in a real page.
