"Chemical origami" shrinks 2D discs into 3D objects
Physicists in Israel have invented a neat method of making elaborate 3D structures from flat 2D discs. The trick is to pre-treat a gel disc half the size of a beer coaster with a monomer solution "blueprint" that selectively shrinks when heated. The technique, which cleverly demonstrates the link between 2D and 3D geometry, could be used by engineers to create self-assembling prototypes.

Oscar Fun Facts.
The famous golden statuette, formally named the Academy Award of Merit, got its more popular moniker "Oscar" when Academy librarian Margaret Herrick said that it resembled her Uncle Oscar. Before this name stuck, other people had tried to call it "the golden trophy," "the statue of merit," and "the iron man."
Actually, there’s another story about how the statuette got its name. When Bette Davis got her first Academy Award in 1936, she remarked how the statuette looked just like her ex-husband, Harmon "Oscar" Nelson, especially its butt!

WinDVD 8 Device Key Found!
Although this is my first post, I have been actively sitting in the shadows for the last 6-8 weeks reading every Doom9 thread that I could find on HD DVD and Blu-Ray decryption. I have followed the postings of muslix64, Janvitos, and Arnezami, trying my best to recreate their steps to learn even more about the under workings of AACS. I even printed out all 70 pages of the AACS Introduction and Common Cryptographic Elements document, painfully reading through this material.
