The Golden Jubilee, with the weight of 545.67 carats, is the largest faceted diamond in the world. Rough stone weighed 755 carats and was discovered in Premier mine, South Africa in 1985.

Happy Roses
Dutch flower designer Peter Van de Werken created this multi-coloured effect by injecting vegetable dye into flower stalks. The pigment is absorbed and travels to the petals where it changes their hue.

James Brown's widow returns home
The partner of late soul legend James Brown has been allowed back into their shared home after a judge ruled she could retrieve her belongings.
Tomi Rae Hynie, 36, said she had been locked out of the South Carolina house since Brown died in December, aged 73.

Lights out on Edison's bulb?
One of the inventions that put this central New Jersey town on the map could go the way of the typewriter and the horse and buggy if some lawmakers have their way.
The incandescent light bulb, perfected for mass use by Thomas A. Edison in the late 19th century, is being supplanted by fluorescent lighting that is more efficient and longer lasting.

My YouTube accounts have been deleted
Deleted accounts are not quite part of the plan! This is now a censorship issue.
My NickGisburne and Gisburne2000 accounts were deleted because of 'Inappropriate Content', basically a video of material (no added commentary from me) from the Qur'an. I added nothing to that video, I was merely using material from the Muslim Holy Book, and for that I was removed from YouTube, along with all my videos, and everyone's subscriptions to me (over 500).
