INTERGOVERNMENTAL PANEL ON CLIMATE CHANGE
The Working Group I contribution to the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report describes progress in understanding of the human and natural drivers of climate change, observed climate change, climate processes and attribution, and estimates of projected future climate change. It builds upon past IPCC assessments and incorporates new findings from the past six years of research. Scientific progress since the TAR is based upon large amounts of new and more comprehensive data, more sophisticated analyses of data, improvements in understanding of processes and their simulation in models, and more extensive exploration of uncertainty ranges

$250,000 Self Cleaning Pay Toilets - Philly Installs High Tech Poopers
A new high-tech automated porta-potty being installed in Center City, Philadelphia. The first public toilet in Philly, the toilet will cost 25 cents to use. And after each use, the inside of the bathroom is completely sanitized. The high tech toilets cost $250,000, and ths city of Philadelphia has already ordered a dozen!

Intel unzips Java jeans
Intel Corp has won a legal victory over a jeans maker in Indonesia selling trousers under the Intel brand.
The chip maker had its complaint against the denim vendor upheld despite the fact that trousers and computer processors are fairly different products.

Shrimp Bandages Save Soldiers
After a long search for a better way to stop extreme bleeding, the U.S. Army has purchased more than 400,000 bandages made from chitosan, a polysaccharide extracted from the exoskeletons of Icelandic shrimp.
Before deciding on the $10 million HemCon purchase last year, the Army tested fibrin bandages, collagen sponges and nanoporous ceramic powder.

My wife smokes -- I want an annulment
Smoke got in his eyes. Too much of it, so he asked the Roman Catholic Church to annul his marriage when his wife refused to kick the nicotine habit.
That is just one of the, well, hazy cases that wound up before the Vatican's Sacra Romana Rota, a top court which hears the most complicated of marriage annulment requests.

Menstrual blood is seen as dangerous, magical, and even sacred across many religions and cultures. The origin of the taboo against sexual intercourse while a woman is menstruating is probably lost to antiquity.
