A nine-year-old girl has become a TV chef in China.
Shi Yulan, from Shanghai, is now writing her own recipe book, reports Qianjiang Evening News.
Shi has been working in the kitchen at home for almost as long as she has been able to walk.
She said: "At two-years-old, I already helped my mom by washing bowls in the kitchen and I started to cook for the family for fun from the age of six."

Frozen snake found along Ohio river
Four workers clearing debris along the Great Miami River in southwest Ohio found a frozen eight-foot boa constrictor Monday morning.
"We never expected this to happen," said Chris Miller, who was working with other McGraw-Kokosing Inc. workers to clean debris from recent floods and fill a sinkhole. "We've been entertaining ourselves. It's been a lot of fun, really."

Vista Launch Coverage
DefectiveByDesign members turned out today in New York City (despite the bitter cold!) to spread the message that Vista's DRM is a danger to computer users. We were joined by folks from the BadVista.org campaign who distributed free software to the guests lining up to attend the launch event.

Hubble Space Telecope's Main Camera Offline, Some Science Lost
The Hubble Space Telescope’s primary camera is offline, with some science capabilities likely lost for good, NASA officials said Monday.
An electrical short in the backup system for Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) pushed the space telescope into a protective “safe mode” over the weekend and prompted the formation of an Anomaly Investigation Board on Monday, NASA officials said.

Citing eBay's changes to security as aiding the shill bidders and this fraud: "Last November eBay changed its rules to conceal bidders' identity — making it even more difficult for customers to see whether sellers are bidding on their own lots.

Vista DRM Cracked by Security Researcher
Security researcher Alex Ionescu claims to have successfully bypassed the much discussed DRM protection in Windows Vista, called 'Protected Media Path' (PMP), which is designed to seriously degrade the playback quality of any video and audio running on systems with hardware components not explicitly approved by Microsoft. The bypass of the DRM protection was in turn performed by breaking the Driver Signing / PatchGuard protection in the new operating system.
