Und die Zukunft des SELFHTML-Projekts wird unsicher. Im SELFHTML aktuell Weblog gibt Mathias Schäfer einen tieferen Einblick in die Probleme bei SELFHTML. Trotz der einschneidenden Veränderungen soll die redaktionelle Arbeit aber weitergehen. Eigentlich unglaublich: In meinem Kopf ist und war SELFHTML als Nachschlagewerk Nummer 1 immer da ohne dass ich darüber nachgedacht habe.

Granny Who Ran Drugs To Support Bingo Habit Jailed
A 62-year-old grandmother who prosecutors said ran drugs to support her bingo habit has been sentenced to three years in prison and a $150,000 fine.
Acting on a tip, state police stopped Leticia Villareal Garcia near Bisbee in southeast Arizona in February 2005 and found 214 pounds of marijuana stuffed into the trunk of her car.

Extending The Windows Vista Grace Period to 120 Days
If you're on the fence about the impending release of Windows Vista, I recommend trying before you buy. Every Vista DVD includes the ability to install any edition of Vista without a product key. File downloading, if not for profit, not illegal in Italy?
According to this report, the high court of Italy ruled that downloading files - be it software, music, or movies - is not illegal if profit is not the motivation. The case in question was a lawsuit against two students who set up a p2p file-sharing network, and who were initially sentenced to one year in prison. But the highest judicial institution in Italy overthrew the decision, and set the two students free.

6 High School Girls Charged With Homicide Conspiracy After List Found With 300 Names
Six girls at a rural high school were charged with homicide conspiracy after their principal found a list of 300 names and officials discovered online postings suggesting they kill people.
School officials said the list, discovered in a classroom trash can, mostly named students and faculty members but also included Tom Cruise, Oprah Winfrey and the Energizer bunny.

Quiet Neighborhood
The World is an archipelago of artificial islands, shaped like the continents of the Earth, being constructed off the coast of Dubai. The project is inspired by the artificial Palm Islands also being built in Dubai. The World will consist of 250 to 300 smaller private artificial islands divided into four categories — private homes, estate homes, dream resorts, and community islands. The entire project is slated for completion in 2008.

Dirt Eating China Girl may set Guiness Record
A girl from north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region plans to set a new Guiness World Record after eating nothing but dirt for two months. We reported this back in December in “China girl eats pounds of dirt daily” and now she is back in the news.
weirdasianews.com Wuqibalaqiqige became a minor celebrity because of her curious habits of eating soil.

China bans Year of the Pig ads to 'show respect to Muslims'
When the Lunar Year of the Pig is fast approaching, China's largest state-owned CCTV recently received an order from the government that prohibits airing of any TV ads that contains images of the pig. This is a measures aims to avoid offending the Muslims in China, in order to "protect the harmony between different religions and ethnic groups".
