Graffiti thieves remove wall with angle grinder
Thieves removed a graffiti masterpiece from a wall with an angle grinder - and tried to sell it for £20,000.
The stolen piece is the work of Bristol's famous graffiti bandit, Banksy.

A 22-year-old Joliet man was sentenced today to 3 years in prison for using a cell phone belonging to his underage girlfriend's father to snap a picture of himself inappropriately touching her.

China arrests men for murdering "ghost" brides
Chinese police have arrested three men for killing two young women to sell their corpses as "ghost brides" for dead single men, a Chinese newspaper reported, warning the dark custom might have claimed many other victims.

Stolen Bigfoot statue found in Washington state
An anonymous tip led police to the 180-kilogram sculpture beneath a pile of debris in a backyard about a block from where it was snatched Monday. Two people confessed and could face theft charges. The likeness of the legendary ape-like creature of the Northwest used to stand 2.4 metres high, but its 40-centimetre-long feet had been sawed off at the ankles, leaving it 46 cm shorter.

Top 10 Hacks on Flickr
One of the nice things about Flickr is that because of their open API a whole host of developers have built more and more interesting things to do with the site. It's interesting to me today that so many of the ways that I use Flickr are not even through the site as designed by Yahoo, but instead through the work of outside developers who are constantly creating new and interesting ways to experience the site. IN THE FICTIONAL world of the hit show "24," federal law enforcement agencies are pouring every last resource into the search for a nuclear terrorist in Los Angeles.
In the real world, federal agents apparently have so much free time that they can dress up in bulletproof vests and masks in order to raid clinics that serve patients battling cancer, AIDS and other diseases. That's what happened last week as Drug Enforcement Administration agents stormed 11 medical marijuana dispensaries throughout L.A. and West Hollywood. We can all rest easier knowing that lollipops, cookies, candies and candy bars laced with marijuana are in no danger of reaching seriously ill patients.

Huge python makes a meal of 11 guard dogs
