Man who tried to commit suicide beaten to death by police
A man who tried to commit suicide by throwing himself onto the tracks of the Mexico City subway was later beaten to death by police, prosecutors said Saturday.
Mexico City attorney general's office announced in a press statement that two city policemen who took custody of the man after he was removed from the tracks have been charged with homicide for allegedly beating him to death later in a patrol car.

Vista copy protection is defended
Microsoft has defended the digital rights management systems integrated into its new Vista operating system.
It follows reports that Vista would "downgrade" the quality of all video and audio, if they were not output via approved connections on the PC.

The Man Who Invented Ctrl-Alt-Del
David J. Bradley (born 1949) was one of the twelve engineers who worked on the original IBM PC, developing the computer's ROM BIOS code. He is most famous for inventing the "Control-Alt-Delete" (also known as three-finger salute) key combination that was used to reboot the computer.

An 800-horsepower Shelby Cobra, once the personal car of the racing veteran who developed the iconic vehicle, has sold for US$5.5 million at auction, a record for an American car.
The sale of the 1966 Shelby Cobra "Super Snake" brought a packed house to its feet Saturday at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction after a pair of bidders drove the price up.

Uri Geller accused of TV trickery
A hit Israeli TV show starring celebrity spoon-bender Uri Geller has come under fire from magicians for being full of "tricks and stunts".
The self-proclaimed paranormalist is looking for others with his "powers" on Uri Geller Looks for a Successor.
But Israeli magician Eliron Toby said the show "damaged" those who wanted to believe in Geller and Dandi Asraf said there were "no supernatural powers".
