Asus has just revealed the world’s first external video card for laptop computers at CES Unveiled in Las Vegas. The XG Station is connected via Express Card also featuring USB 2.0 and Dolby digital headphone jack support.

Starting in the new year, the government declassified 270 million pages of FBI files -- but if you tried to access them, you'd have been told that none of them are available, and won't be, maybe for years.

Vast halo extends galaxy's size
Astronomers have found an enormous halo of stars around the Andromeda galaxy.
The discovery suggests the nearby spiral galaxy, also known as M31, is as much as five times bigger than astronomers had previously thought.
In fact, Andromeda's "suburbs" are so vast that they nearly overlap with those of our own Milky Way galaxy.

The Universe within 1 billion Light Years
Galaxies and clusters of galaxies are not uniformly distributed in the Universe, instead they collect into vast clusters and sheets and walls of galaxies interspersed with large voids in which very few galaxies seem to exist. The map above shows many of these superclusters including the Virgo supercluster - the minor supercluster of which our galaxy is just a minor member. The entire map is approximately 7 percent of the diameter of the entire visible Universe.

A FORMER World War II fort in the North Sea, which was settled 40 years ago and declared a state with its own self-proclaimed royal family, is up for sale.
The tiny Principality of Sealand, which began life as Roughs Tower in 1941, is a 550 sq m steel platform perched on two concrete towers 11km off the coast of Harwich, eastern England.

Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999) is an unauthorized made-for-television docudrama written and directed by Martyn Burke. Based upon the book, Fire in the Valley: The Making of The Personal Computer, by Paul Freiberger and Michael Swaine, this film documents the rise of the home computer/personal computer through the rivalry between Apple Computer (Apple II and the Apple Macintosh) and Microsoft (DOS, IBM PC, and Windows). Noah Wyle and Joey Slotnick portray Apple founders Steve Job and Steve Wozniak. Anthony Michael Hall and John DiMaggio play Microsoft's Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

Couple Buys Picasso for $1 at a Yard Sale
Experts think a Carolina Beach, NC couple owns a real Pablo Picasso masterpiece after the painting was analyzed last week by art historians. They think the painting could be an original piece. The couple bought the painting at a yard sale more than a decade ago for one dollar.

Six-metre-tall cake made for New Year
Pastry cooks prepare a twenty-tiered cake as part a celebration of the New Year on a squre in Wuhu, east China's Anhui Province January 3, 2007. The six-metre-tall cake was made with 11,280 eggs, 610 kilos of milk, 175 kilos of flour and 216 kilos of oil, and was decorated with 9,999 roses.

Good lord, yes, today, Monday, is the day David Jones, aka The Thin White Duke, aka Ziggy Stardust, turns 60 years old. David Bowie at 60, who would've imagined it? For years now, Bowie has perched high at the top of my favorite musical artists list.
