Kitten with Two Faces Dies
The little kitten that was born with two faces in Lake City has died.
Deuce's owner says they were forced to put the kitten to sleep on Friday after he came down with pneumonia and was not strong enough to survive.

Police arrest teenager for selling marijuana-laced brownies
Police in Florida arrested a student for selling brownies baked with marijuana outside a school cafeteria during lunch time. The student, identified as 18-year-old Andrew Perrault, was selling brownies without authorization for five dollars each.

Woman 'terrified' by effect of marijuana-laced cookie
A 64-year-old woman said Monday that she was terrified by the adverse effects she suffered last month after she unknowingly ate a cookie laced with marijuana.
But the co-worker accused of giving it to her had nothing to say.

Snow Festival Postponed After Heat Wave
While most of Europe has shivered through an unusually cold March, a snow festival in Arctic Greenland has been postponed indefinitely because of a "heat wave."
The 11th annual international Snow Sculpture Festival in Nuuk was scheduled for March 18-21, when the average temperature in Greenland's capital would usually be well below freezing.

Metallica news: Official board hacked
We are still having some problems with the message forum here at encycmet.com, but I am working on it att his very minute and I hope to fix it real soon.
Anyway, metallica.com have some problems too. The official message board was hacked a few days ago and I guess the webmaster over there got a shock when he found his forum down.

Page Hijack: The 302 Exploit, Redirects and Google
An explanation of the page hijack exploit using 302 server redirects. This exploit allows any webmaster to have his own "virtual pages" rank for terms that pages belonging to another webmaster used to rank for. Succesfully employed, this technique will allow the offending webmaster ("the hijacker") to displace the pages of the "target" in the Search Engine Results Pages ("SERPS"), and hence (a) cause search engine traffic to the target website to vanish, and/or (b) further redirect traffic to any other page of choice.

Robot Finds Life in Desert, Mimicking Skills Needed on Mars
A robot laden with sensor equipment has detected life on the arid terrain of the Chilean desert, a first for rover-based systems.
Nobody was surprise to find life there, but with the harsh conditions and sparse biological activity, the feat is likened to finding microbial creatures on Mars if any exists there.

Russia Paid $10M for Maskhadov Information
Russia paid $10 million for information that helped it track down a Chechen rebel leader who was killed last week in a special forces operation, its security service said Tuesday.
The Federal Security Service, also said it would offer the same reward for Shamil Basayev, the Chechen warlord who claimed responsibility for September's school hostage-taking in southern Russia that killed 330.
