Urine bomb thrown at police
Police had to dodge a urine bomb and other objects flung from a stolen car during a 47-kilometre chase from Hutt Valley to the west coast.
Twice the chase had to be abandoned as the driver of the car, reported stolen from Auckland two weeks earlier, drove up main highways the wrong way to elude police.
The car, with four people inside, also avoided road spikes and reached speeds of up to 140km/h.

IKEA Recalls 25,000 Glass-Door Wall Cabinets
IKEA Home Furnishings is recalling about 25,000 BERTBY glass-door wall cabinets.
IKEA says the cabinets have the wrong sized screws for the safety bracket, which can cause the cabinets to fall from the wall.

Is there more flatulence in a vegetarian diet?
For years I've tolerated my friend's need for a strict vegan diet. I am lectured nearly daily about the benefits of veganism and the injustice of my murderous, meat-craving lifestyle. It's gotten to the point that we can't go out anywhere decent because there are few places vegan-friendly enough to suit his tastes. He has many redeeming qualities, so our friendship remains strong despite our philosophical differences. However, if there were an issue that would be a deal breaker, it would be his terrible, terrible gas. Its pure, unmitigated evil is indescribable. I'm pretty sure that in a highly concentrated form it could change laws of physics. Just god-awful. To make a dumb question long, are the rumors about vegan body odor, and specifically vegan gas, really true? Or is my friend just a naturally awful-smelling individual?

Ein Iraner ist am Flughafen Düsseldorf mit einem gefälschten Visum aufgefallen. Dies war bis zu einem Datum gültig, das es gar nicht gibt.

Half Life 2-Release wegen Streit zwischen Entwickler und Publisher erst 2005?
Wie berichtet wird, herrscht zwischen den Entwicklern von Half Life 2 Valve Software und dem Publisher Vivendi Universal ein gewaltiger Streit.
Das kann dazu führen, dass der Actiontitel "HL2" erst in sechs Monaten in die Läden kommt, bis es Vivendi veröffentlicht.

Die Website www.thesmokinggun.com hat nun den kompletten Vertrag veröffentlicht, den Britney Spears und Kevin Federline für ihre Show-Ehe abgeschlossen haben.
Darin wird festgelegt, dass die Zeremonie am 18. September keine Gültigkeit hat und dass das Pärchen sich erst später rechtlich und kirchlich trauen werde. Vorher müssten noch Details über Federlines Mitgift geregelt werden.
