Twenty-five years after the original radio series of Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy exploded into the public consciousness, the further exploits of its bewildered hero, Arthur Dent, are being brought to life in their original medium and with the (mainly) original cast.

Cell Phone Toy Shows Picture Of Osama Bin Laden
Channel 9 has discovered another controversial toy. A local mother took a closer look at the toy and realized something wasn't right. It's a toy cell phone with a picture of Osama bin Laden on it with one word above it, "King."

Man in wheelchair accused of robbing bank
A man in a wheelchair said he robbed a bank because a homeless assistance center and a hospital refused to help him.
Larry Miller, 42, went into Pan American Bank on Tuesday - an employee opened the door for him - carrying a note reading, "Robbery put the money bag" and "1,500," police said.
Miller, who had no weapon, gave the note to a teller, who gave him two $100 bills.

Dad says school duct-taped son's pants
An outraged father of a seventh-grader says an assistant principal duct-taped his son's pants to keep them from sagging then sent him back to class.
Scott Allison told the Concord School Board on Monday that his 12-year-old son, Spencer, said last week that a teacher asked him to lift his shirt after she noticed the boy's underwear was showing above his pants, a violation of Concord Junior High School's dress code.

Cat search turns up fake grenade
A woman looking for a cat in an abandoned house came across what appeared to be a grenade dangling from the ceiling of a room and apparently rigged to explode if someone came through a window, a State Police sergeant said Wednesday.
The grenade turned out to be fake, the type sold at novelty stores, and did not have any explosive materials, said 1st Sgt. D.P. Reider.
"It kind of looked like a booby trap," Reider said.

Allergic to Sex?
British model Emma Jones has developed an allergy to sex, a condition the Blind Date reality TV star attributes to stress caused by her divorce.
"Every time I make love I come out in a painful rash, suffer excruciating headaches, hot flushes and have breathing difficulties," Jones, 34, said in Britain's Mirror Wednesday.

Serbian actors arrested while filming robbery scene
A group of Serbian actors filming a bank robbery scene played their parts so well that police mistook them for the real thing and hauled them off to a police station, a newspaper reported Wednesday.
The crew was filming the robbery scene Tuesday on a street in Novi Sad, 30 miles north of Belgrade, as part of a project to be shown in a multimedia performance at the nearby Serbian National Theater.

Fugitive 1,000-Pound Gator Found In Ditch After Ivan
Chucky, the 1,000-pound alligator that slipped away from a small coastal zoo amid flooding during Hurricane Ivan, was found in a ditch and returned to zoo care.
Chucky drew wide notice when he turned fugitive from the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo after the hurricane pounded the coast Thursday.

Britney Not Legally Married
Pop star Britney Spears' surprise weekend wedding in California is not yet legal because all of the paperwork reportedly has yet to be filed.
Spears and fiance Kevin Federline married Saturday in a Studio City, Calif., ceremony so hush-hush the singer's mom and attendants did not even know it was happening, but the couple failed to file the requisite legal forms, CBS said.
