Einen Tag bevor Microsoft vor nun fast einem Jahr eine neue Sicherheitsstrategie bekannt gab, wurde das Unternehmen über das JPEG-Sicherheitsloch in zahlreichen Microsoft-Produkten informiert - und stellte erst rund elf Monate später in der vergangenen Woche einen Patch zur Behebung des Problems zur Verfügung.

Hollywood geht jetzt mit neuster Militär-Technik gegen Filmpiraten vor
Eine neue Scan-Technik soll bereits im Kinosaal die Filmpiraten entlarven. Das 'Pirate Eye' (Piraten-Auge) scannt mithilfe von Radardaten die Leinwände sowie den Saal ab und erkennt illegale Cams. Die Technik kommt vom Militär.

Britons Worst at Lying over Emails
A recent survey of 750 office workers in Britain, France, Germany, Spain and Italy showed that 11% of Britons often denied receiving emails. Whereas just 4% of Spaniards said they did.

The militant group led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has claimed responsibility for the beheading of a man identified as American civil engineer Eugene Armstrong. A video showing the gruesome decapitation was posted on a web site.
