Eine Schule in Turin hat Stechuhren eingeführt, um ihre Schüler besser kontrollieren zu können. Das alte System mit Entschuldigungsschreiben und Einträgen ins Klassenbuch sei zu zeitaufwendig geworden.

Taiwan teen nabbed for running sex service website
A 13-year-old boy was arrested in Taiwan for allegedly running an online sexual services site and recruiting minors to join it, reports said last Saturday.
Police said more than 100 boys and girls had signed up for the website, called "elementary and junior high school students enjokosai ring," over four months, according to reports in several newspapers.

'Cigar papers' sold as taste treats, but officials say they're all about pot
Ah, the Royal Blunt. A 3- by 5-inch sheet of tobacco and premium paper that comes in 13 flavors including sour apple, chocolate, watermelon, black cherry and cognac is selling for about a buck apiece at area convenience and liquor stores.
Rolled around a strawlike plastic tube to keep it fresh and pliant, the Royal Blunt is a "cigar paper," meant only for those of legal age, to roll their own cigars, according to Royal Blunt, the Raleigh, N.C.-based manufacturer.
It is perfectly legal to sell to those over 18 in Massachusetts. They're sold in cities and suburbs.
Even a veteran Lowell vice cop, hearing about Royal Blunts for the first time, calls them "pretty ingenious."

Baby dropped out of car during police chase
A man dropped his fiancee's 8-month-old daughter out of a car as he fled police after being accused of domestic violence, authorities said.
The girl, strapped in a carseat, was unhurt but the man later was fatally injured in a crash.
Dana Bettin, 23, died Sunday, three days after the dramatic highway chase that ended when he crashed his fiancee's car into an unoccupied squad car.

In ihrer Skandalbiografie zitiert Autorin Kitty Kelley aus privaten E-Mails der Präsidentenfamilie Bush. Bush senior hat sich mit seinen Söhnen offenbar über die Unterleibsanatomie seines Nachfolgers Clinton unterhalten. Woher er die Insider-Informationen hat, bleibt allerdings unklar.

NATO-Kommandantur "vergisst" polnische Soldaten
Polnische Soldaten hatten es in den vergangenen Tagen nicht leicht. Die NATO-Kommandantur hatte nämlich den Armeeangehörigen vergessen mitzuteilen, dass die geplante Truppenübung in Aserbaidschan abgesagt worden war.

Jeder Autofahrer hat Angst vor dem Satz des Ordnungshüters: 'Bitte blasen sie mal ins Röhrchen'. In Zukunft könnte man sich wirklich die Frage stellen zuviel getrunken zu haben, wenn nach einer Urinprobe verlangt wird.
