U2 dismayed after upcoming album tracks disappear
A rough cut of the next U2 album went missing during the Irish rock group's recent photo shoot in France. Band members worry the rough-cut album tracks will eventually appear on the Internet for download, months before the album's release.
Edge, guitarist, said, "A large slice of two years' work lifted. It doesn't seem credible, but that's what just happened to us." The album has not yet been named and is scheduled for a November release.

Judge pays for defendant's hearing aid battery
A judge in Germany has paid for a battery for a defendant's hearing aid so the man could follow his trial.
The 51-year-old man was in court in Munich on a manslaughter charge, but had difficulty following proceedings.

Beckham ball bid revealed a fake
A 10 million euros ($17.1 million) bid for the ball that David Beckham blasted into the stands during England's Euro 2004 shoot-out defeat against Portugal has been ruled a fake.
After running checks on the bids, the Spanish site of Internet auctioneers eBay decided to reduce the top offer for the ball from 10 million euros to a mere 23,650 euros ($40,494).

Mit Auto in Jauchegrube gelandet
Zwei junge Männer aus Zwettl an der Rodl landeten in der Nacht auf heute mit dem Auto in einer Jauchegrube. Wie es zu diesem Unfall in Reinbach kommen konnte, klingt beinahe unglaublich. Ernsthaft verletzt wurde dabei niemand.
