Texas to install Wi-Fi hotspots at highway rest stops
In an attempt to encourage road travelers to rest more frequently, the state of Texas is installing wireless Internet connectivity at rest stops and travel information centers. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is accepting bids.

Private rocket ship breaks space barrier
SpaceShipOne soars 62 miles to cross space boundary The SpaceShipOne rocket plane soared high above the Earth on Monday, becoming the first privately developed craft to go into space. SpaceShipOne took off from the Mojave Airport, nestled beneath its White Knight carrier plane, at about 6:45 a.m. PT, sailing up into the clear desert sky. About an hour later, at an altitude of almost 50,000 feet, the White Knight released its companion craft, and SpaceShipOne test pilot Mike Melvill lit up his rocket engine for a 70-second straight-up blast.

Private spacecraft readied for historic flight
If all goes well over the California desert Monday morning, Michael Melvill, 62, a veteran test pilot, will become the first civilian flier to earn his astronaut's wings aboard a privately financed spacecraft.
CNN and CNN.com will carry live coverage of the launch of SpaceShipOne beginning at approximately 6:30 a.m. PDT and 9:30 a.m. EDT on Monday.

Two drug dealers, dubbed "the world's dumbest drug dealers" by police and media after handing out leaflets advertising their illegal trade, are to appear in the Hillbrow magistrate's court on Monday on charges of drug possession and drug dealing.
The flyers read: "For any stuff of drug please call this number below. ...Ask for Mike."
