Schlägerei beim englischen "Big Brother" - Live-Übertragung unterbrochen
In der britischen Variante von 'Big Brother' kam es zu einem heftigen Gewaltausbruch unter den Bewohnern. Nach einem Streit fingen die Container-Insassen an sich zu beschimpfen und mit Wein zu bekleckern.
Die Situation eskalierte, als Möbelstücke als Waffen eingesetzt wurden und durch das Haus flogen. Daraufhin mussten Mitarbeiter der Crew in den Wohnbereich eindringen, um die Streithähne auseinander zu bringen.

Sweeping stun guns to target crowds
Weapons that can incapacitate crowds of people by sweeping a lightning-like beam of electricity across them are being readied for sale to military and police forces in the US and Europe.
At present, commercial stun guns target one person at a time, and work only at close quarters. The new breed of non-lethal weapons can be used on many people at once and operate over far greater distances.

The US military has been secretly holding a suspected terrorist in Iraq on the orders of the Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

In San Nazzaro Sesia (Nord-Italien) gibt es am Wochenende einen Wettbewerb im Mückenfangen. Es ist bereits das dritte Mal, dass so ein Wettbewerb stattfindet, an dem nur die Männer teilnehmen.
Der Gewinner erhält pro getöteter Mücke zehn Euro und zusätzlich einen Esel. Der Zweite erhält ein Schwein und für den Drittplazierten gibt es eine Gans.
