Oil prices edge lower
Oil prices edged further below $40 (£21.70) today after Opec's decision to boost output, but analysts remained sceptical about the effectiveness of the cartel's move.
The German economy minister, Wolfgang Clement, welcomed the drop in prices and said he hoped they would continue to fall to around $28 a barrel. Crude oil prices have risen by over 20% since the start of the year and are now well above Opec's stated price band of $22-$28.

Punk lyrics mistaken for 'terror' text
A punk rock musician was questioned by a Special Branch officer after a text message containing lyrics from a Clash song was sent to the wrong person.
Mike Devine, from Bristol, UK, plays bass in a Clash tribute group called London Calling, and had intended to text the message to singer Reg Shaw. He used the wrong number.
He was asked to explain what the message meant, which contained the words "gun" and "jet airliner. The officer seemed "puzzled" and "a little embarrassed" after it was explained that the words were by the Clash.
