H'wood hot for Moore's 'Fahrenheit 9/11'
Despite (or because of) controversy, film expected to be hit.
The White House calls the film "outrageously false," but Hollywood is hot for "Fahrenheit 9/11," documentary filmmaker Michael Moore's caustic broadside at President Bush.
A day after the film won the top Palme d'Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival in France, industry observers Sunday predicted the controversial movie would be a box office hit, even if some early reviews have hardly been favorable.

Microsoft behind $12 million payment to Opera
Microsoft agreed to pay Norway's Opera Software $12.75 million to head off a threatened lawsuit over code that made some Web pages on MSN look bad in certain versions of Opera's Web browser, CNET News.com has learned.
Opera disclosed the payment last week in a terse press release that omitted other details, including the name of the settling party and the nature of the dispute.

JUDGING by the promotional material, he sounds like the average ned after a night out on the tiles.
Robosapien, the latest robotic toy which experts are predicting will become the must-have item for children, can "pick up, throw, kick, dance, fight, perform kung-fu, fart, belch, rap and much more".

Swedish moose steals bicycle
A hungry moose already known to raid rosebushes, has stolen a bicycle from a garden in Sweden.
Bjoern and Monica Helamb, of Vuoggatjalme, said the moose had regularly visited their yard to eat their roses over the last decade.

Iraq Wedding Film Challenges U.S. on Air Strike
New video showing Iraqis singing and dancing at a desert wedding begged more questions on Monday about a U.S. air strike last week that killed about 40 people.
The U.S. military has insisted most of the dead were foreign guerrilla fighters who had slipped over the nearby Syrian border. Local people say the Americans massacred wedding guests.
Associated Press Television News said it obtained the footage from a survivor of the strike early on May 19.

Wie die Betreiber der Internetseite www.linkeseite.de heute durch einen Fehler bei der Newsletterzustellung herausfanden, ist die Emailadresse gipfelsturm11@gmx.net dem BKA zuzuordnen.
Der heutige Newsletter konnte nicht wie gewohnt zugestellt werden. Stattdessen erhielten die Betreiber eine automatisch erstellte GMX-Fehlermeldung, aus der eine Weiterleitung an die Adresse ST11ISAGipfel@bka.bund.de hervorgeht.

Romanian truck blast kills about 15, injures 12
About 15 people, including rescue workers and journalists, were killed on Monday at the scene of a car accident in southeast Romania when an overturned truck carrying ammonia exploded, police and media said.

Circus Performer Dies After 30-Foot Fall
Police are investigating the death of a performer who fell around 30 feet onto a concrete floor during a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus show.
Dessi Espana, 32, was twirling on long chiffon scarves when the silky cloth gave way during Saturday's performance at the Xcel Energy Center, witnesses said. She died later that night.
