Cannes premiere for Moore movie
US director Michael Moore's controversial film Fahrenheit 9/11 has had its world premiere in Cannes.
The documentary examines the Iraq war and explores alleged connections between the families of US President George Bush and Osama Bin Laden.

Microsoft und Adobe Webseite aus Google gelöscht
Google hat bestätigt, dass es bis vor kurzem möglich war, Sucheinträge für bestimmte Seiten aus der Suchmaschine zu entfernen. Dies geschah nicht durch Hacken sondern mit Hilfe des von Google bereitgestellten "Page Removal Tool" welches man verwenden kann, um eigene Webseiten aus Google zu entfernen.
Ein Webmaster mit Namen "Feelfree" hat die Seite von Microsoft, Adobe und einige weitere gelöscht, um darauf aufmerksam zu machen, dass seine eigene Webseite von Konkurrenten entfernt wurde.

Arabian Music Awards: Monströses Desaster
Ein «arabischer Grammy» sollte es werden, doch die Verleihung der Arabian Music Awards geriet am Samstagabend zum Desaster.
Nur wenige der Nominierten erschienen, die Veranstaltung begann nach Mitternacht mit zweieinhalb Stunden Verspätung und dann fielen auch noch die Moderations-Mikrofone mehrfach aus.
Viele Zuschauer, die umgerechnet bis zu 1700 Franken für die Karten bezahlt hatten, verliessen die Verleihung vorzeitig. Einige Künstler taten es ihnen gleich und liessen ihre Auszeichnungen zurück.

50 Fishy Circumstances, Contradictory Claims, and Videotape Anomalies
A large number of anomalies surround the life and death of Nicholas Berg. A Jewish man, 26 years of age and a U.S. Citizen, he traveled alone in Iraq. Family and friends described Berg as an adventurer, high spirited and intelligent. A Washington Post report notes, "Berg was a weight lifting enthusiast and amateur comedian who had traveled abroad to help people improve their lives. Among his trips was a visit to the West African country of Ghana, where he taught villagers to make bricks and returned emaciated because he gave away most of his food."
