Berlin Woman Fined For Laughing
A woman only known as Barbara M (in court papers) invited a few people over to have a good time. The next thing she knew police invaded the party and later she received a 25 euros fine in the post.
A 52-year-old neighbor who lives with his elderly mother complained that Barbara would frequently invite people over and laugh the night away. "It is against the law in Germany to make too much noise after 10pm," he said.

Family Drops Dead After Eating Poisonous Mushrooms
A family in Vietnam went into a forest in the northern province of Cao Bang to pick some mushrooms for dinner. They also had them for breakfast the following morning.
Just a few hours later four of the victims suddenly dropped dead, the other four in the family were rushed to the hospital, but only two in the whole family survived.

Betrüger versteigerte Bagger über das Internet
Der Polizei ging ein Betrüger ins Netz, der über ein Internet-Auktionshaus einen Bagger versteigerte, der ihm natürlich nicht gehörte. Um glaubwürdig zu erscheinen, fotografierte er den Bagger zuvor auf einer Baustelle.
Nach Ablauf der Auktion wurde der Termin für die Übergabe des Baggers von dem Betrüger auf den frühen Abend gelegt, damit die besagte Baustelle auch verwaist war.
Der Käufer lud dann, nachdem er den Kaufpreis in bar an den Betrüger übergeben hatte, den 'erworbenen' Bagger auf einen mitgebrachten Tieflader und fuhr weg.

Monkeys, farmers in battle over bamboo territory
The conflict has broken out in Jing county, where rural families living on some of China's most suitable soil for bamboo have seen unusually fierce assaults from roving bands of monkeys this spring, the Xinhua news agency said.

Sweden looks into how mythical lake monster landed on endangered species list

Photo Lab Sees Pic Of Toddler With Marijuana Pipe
An employee at a photo lab discovered a photo showing a young child posing with a marijuana pipe and informed the police. The lab in Bardstown, Kentucky, handed police the film and the parents address.
