Zwei Pinguine als charmante Weltenbummler sind die Sujets für eine neue Werbekampagne - nicht für den Südpol, sondern für Österreich. Ab Ende Jänner/Anfang Februar startet die Österreich Werbung (ÖW) ihre in Zusammenarbeit mit Lowe/GGK entwickelte neue Urlaubskampagne unter dem Slogan "Endlich. Österreich", in deren Mittelpunkt die beiden weltreisenden Pinguine namens Joe und Sally stehen.

Eins ist jetzt schon klar Edelweiss hat die Pinguine schneller & weiter auf der welt verteilt als es die österreich werbung je schaffen wird.

Not all Apple users are idiots, you idiot!

Is it worth it?

Is it worth posting letters from level-headed Apple afficionados to redress the damage caused by the partisans? Is it worth giving the Apple kingdom yet another opportunity to explain why they may or may not be crazy? Is it worth mentioning yet again that El Reg is chock full of happy Mac users?

The answer to all these questions is 'no,' we fear.

Google Releases Orkut Social Networking Service

Google has quietly released a social networking service called orkut, named after Orkut Buyukkokten, a Google software engineer who developed the project during personal time allowed to him by Google.

All employees at Google are allowed to spend twenty percent of their time working on personal interests, a policy Google has to encourage creativity. Buyukkokten had an interest in social networking and so developed his service, Google says. Now the company has decided to open it to the public.
