Chong Backed by Tokin' Resistance
At first glance, Tommy Chong seems woefully miscast in the role of martyr.
The comedian, who rose to fame in the '70s and '80s, is renowned for, more than anything else, playing a bumbling pot smoker as half of the moviemaking team Cheech and Chong. More recently, he played off that image with a glass pipe and bong business, Nice Dreams Enterprises; an advertising campaign for a contraption to foil drug tests; and a recurring role on the Fox sitcom That '70s Show.

Farmer's Diamonds Go to Waste But Are Recovered
It's not quite the goose that laid the golden egg, but an Indian diamond merchant's prize cow is producing bejeweled dung.
Dilubhai Rajput had stashed a bag of more than 1,700 small diamonds, worth almost $900, in a pile of hay at his home in Gujarat state, famous both for its dairy and diamond-cutting industries, but hadn't reckoned on the risk of a hungry cow.

AMD Athlon 64 3400+
It wasn't long ago that the Athlon 64 family of CPUs was launched by AMD and it has already had two new additions: the 3000+ and now the 3400+. The only difference is the speed. The 3400+ clocks in at 2.2GHz, making it as fast as the Athlon 64 FX-51 processor in terms of raw gigahertz. But as we know from past experiences with AMD processors, gigahertz isn't everything, and the 3400+ is an amazingly fast CPU.
