Vor der Deutschlandpremiere des Films "Findet Nemo" am 20. November weist der WWF darauf hin, dass tropische Meeresfische in der Kanalisation keine Überlebenschance haben. Artenschutzexperte Roland Melisch: "Wer seinen Zierfisch die Toilette herunterspült, schenkt ihm nicht die Freiheit, sondern schickt ihn in den sicheren Tod."

Heute "Windows XP Box"
Introduction
I needed a small Windows XP machine and a Mini-ITX board was the obvious choice. So I decided to build my "Windows XP Box" in a Windows XP box. The external dimensions of the box are a tiny 243mm x 200mm x 48mm.

GIMP v Photo$hop
GIMP is an excellent, pixel-based, image manipulation and editing program. It's free and open source software. You can use it to edit photographs and other graphics. Or, you can create stunning graphics from scratch with it.
Originally, GIMP was a Linux/UNIX program. However, it has been ported to the Microsoft Windows platform -- that effectively makes GIMP a cross-platform (XP) program.

Obscure 1872 law cited in case against Greenpeace
Local activists are closely watching a case winding through the federal courts in Miami. There, a federal prosecutor has dusted off a 19th century law designed to prevent bar owners from luring sailors ashore with booze and prostitutes to file charges against Greenpeace in connection with an April 2002 case in which two activists tried to hang an anti-President Bush banner on a container ship headed into port.

It took nearly all of 2003 for a Twin Cities child's great balloon experiment to pay off. And it paid off in an amazing way.
Like millions of kids before them three girls released balloons with notes asking the finder to write them.
That was February. A letter arrived in early December — where it came from surprised everyone involved.
