Van Gogh Found at Flea Market to Sell for Millions
A painting of field workers by Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh, bought at a flea market 12 years ago for 1,500 euros ($1,800), is expected to fetch up to three million euros ($3.6 million) at an auction in France Saturday.
Organizers of the sale in the small town of Portets in southwestern France are bracing for a flood of visitors.

Almost half of Germans cheat on partner
Almost every second German is cheating on, or has cheated on, their partner, according to a new survey.
A November survey of 1,059 men and women aged between 20 and 60 by the Hamburg-based GEWIS research institute for "Stern" magazine showed 51 percent of men and 43 percent of women said they had cheated at least once on their partner.

Three people convicted of smuggling rice
Three individuals were convicted in Värnamo county court in Sweden for trying to smuggle six ton of rice across the border from Norway to Sweden.
While it is most common for Norwegians to smuggle alcohol and tobacco from Sweden, this couple and their friend tied to smuggle rice from Norway to Sweden.

Jokes activate same brain region as cocaine
There's truth in the maxim 'laughter is a drug'. A comic cartoon fired up the same brain centre as a shot of cocaine, researchers are reporting.
A team at Stanford University in California asked lab mates, spouses and friends to select the wittiest newspaper cartoons from a portfolio. They showed the winning array to 16 volunteers while peering inside their heads by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
