No wonder, then, that they have produced an exciting answer to the Segway Human Transporter. Like the Segway, Bombardier's Embrio concept--a prototype that may or may not make production--uses gyroscope technology to balance riders but adds a dash of flair absent in the Segway, which we as car nuts find slightly nerdy.

FBI Has New Sept. 11 Hijacking Suspect
The FBI has identified an al Qaeda suspect who agents believed was the "20th hijacker" in the Sept. 11, 200,1 plot but left the country before the plan was realized, USA Today reported on Wednesday, citing a top federal law enforcement official.

Sony details new handheld, iPod rival
Sony on Tuesday detailed plans for a much-anticipated, all-in-one handheld gaming device that includes a digital music and video player and could even act as mobile telephone.
Officials of the world's largest consumer electronics maker also said Sony would launch a rival to Apple Computer's iPod digital music player next year for as little as $60.

Doctors find plant growing in boy's nose
Romanian doctors have found a plant growing in a four-year-old boy's nose.
The boy, from a mountain village in Vrancea county, had not complained about the germinating bean and was only in the surgery for a check-up.

Vor 25 Jahren haben die Österreicher der Atomenergie per Volksabstimmung einen - wenn auch hauchdünnen - Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht: Das Atomkraftwerk Zwentendorf wurde eingemottet. Der damalige Konflikt und die knappe Entscheidung sind vergessen, Österreichs Anti-Atom-Politik ist innenpolitisch unantastbar geworden.

Das "Massachusetts Institute of Technology" in Cambridge, kurz M.I.T, hatte im Rahmen des bereits vorhandenen Analog-TV-Netzes der Uni vor knapp anderthalb Wochen einen internen "Music On Demand"-Service eröffnet, der von den Studenten Keith Winstein und Josh Mandel entwickelt worden war. Doch bereits nach wenigen Betriebsstunden wiesen diverse Plattenfirmen, vor allem die Universal Music Group, darauf hin, dass für die Veröffentlichung der Musikstücke durch den M.I.T.-Service weder eine Genehmigung erteilt, noch eine finanzielle Vereinbarung getroffen wurde.

Huge art haul found in Paris van
More than 250 stolen paintings have been recovered from a parked van in Paris, French police have said.
The haul includes one Picasso, two works by French painter Raoul Dufy and one by Dutch artist Kees van Dongen.

Distance records fell like flying gourds at the 18th annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin, where a Michigan team on Sunday took home the top trophy for a second year.
Second Amendment, an air cannon team from Howell, Mich., smashed the record of 4,109 feet set in 2000 by Joseph "Wolfman" Thomas of Milton, with a shot of 4,434.28 feet.
