Baseball caps must be banned
Wearing a baseball cap in hospital is the start of a chain of uncivil behaviour which leads directly to assaulting doctors and nurses. So argued Theodore Dalrymple on today's programme.
Dalrymple calls for "zero tolerance" on the matter.

Soul museum to mark Stax label
The influence of legendary US soul music label Stax is to be recognised with the opening of a $20m (£12m) museum in April next year. The Stax Museum of American Soul Music is part of a urban and cultural renewal programme for a rundown area in Memphis, Tennessee, known as Soulsville USA .

'Doped up' Russian soldier runs amok
A Russian soldier serving in the Caucasus has killed at least five of his fellow border guards in a shooting spree - reportedly after eating hallucinogenic mushrooms. At least three others were injured in the incident on Russia's southern border with Georgia.

Dennis Conner’s emotional exit from the America’s Cup, a departure provisional on legal wrangling ashore, helped highlight the changing face of the world’s oldest sporting event. Conner, at 60, is now contemplating quitting the Cup community. He admitted Friday, as his team suffered its final loss in a repechage sweep by OneWorld: “I don’t know if this is my last time here or not.”

Sculptures out of match heads
I made my first matchhead in 1982. Kinskihead was a response to a reviewer comparing one of my magazine installations to a weekend modeller making a ship or the Eiffel Tower out of matches. The reviewer talked about matches as if their rightful place was at the bottom of the materials league. I was puzzled by this and immediately attracted to this underdog.
