Austrians decide not to be Nazis anymore. Waldheim and the horse pissed

Austria's far right in decline

Three years after it became Europe's first country in recent history to vote a far-right party into power, Austria goes to the polls this Sunday looking set to reverse the trend.

A massive swing back to the centre-left and centre-right parties which have traditionally governed there is widely expected.

Joerg Haider, whose pro-Nazi and anti-foreigner sentiments appalled other European nations but won him 27% of the vote in 1999, is sitting this election out.

al Queda Claims Responsibility for Leonid Shower

In what is sure to be a surprising turn of events, the al Queda terrorist group will come forth claiming responsibility for the recent Leonid Meteor Shower. In a statement obtained by deep cover operatives masquerading behind enemy lines as camels and donkeys, the al Queda terrorist network is preparing to announce that the Leonid Meteor Shower is not caused by the Earth passing through the stream of debris left by the comet Tempel-Tuttle, as is commonly thought by scientists and amateur astronomers alike, but that the apparent "meteor shower" is actually Allah raining death on the infidels, and that there is a giant conspiracy to cover up this fact by the governments of the western world.
