I blog, therefore I am

Articles are published and news reports are broadcast around the clock, but the words of the press are quickly outnumbered online. Weblogs or "blogs" are a rising force, filling PC screens with a deluge of commentary direct from diary-writing readers and viewers.

Ghostzilla

The Camouflage Web Browser For Total Screen Privacy

Surf the Internet freely, knowing that people around you cannot see the Web browser on your screen even if they look directly at it! Ghostzilla is a browser for surfing the Web when you don't want anyone to physically see what you are doing. It renders Web pages to look indistinguishable from your work screen. You make it disappear instantly with one move of your hand and bring it back with another. Ghostzilla can show Web pages discreetly within literally any application you work with.

HUMMER Flips

was at Gorman this weekend for the Hummerclub event. We got word that an H1 had flipped. Sure enough...it had! NOT a pretty sight! Just prior to the H1 running up the hill....an H2 went up the hill twice with no problems at all. From what I heard, the H1 started slipping on the front wheels and began to turn sideways....before you knew it....it was too sideways and flipped over. NOBODY WAS HURT!...but it went over hard!

Build your own supercomputer

Hi there. This is a bit of documentation on how to put together a very low cost and extremely compact beowulf cluster. We needed a beast like that for one of our internal pet research projects, so we decided to see how cheap and how compact we could make the thing. The total material bill came to $US 4150, for that you get a 10 node 600 MHz PIII 128 MB ram per node cluster. (Prices April 2000). They all boot of their own floppy disk. Each machine is hooked up to the net using a 100 Mbit ethernet card.

Pure cannabis 'as harmful as tobacco'

Smoking pure cannabis is just as harmful to lungs as tobacco, according to a new report. Three cannabis joints a day cause the same damage to the lining of the airways as 20 cigarettes, the British Lung Foundation study says.
