Time-Lapse Movies of Crab Nebula
Sept. 19, 2002: Just when it seemed the summer movie season had ended, two of NASA's Great Observatories have produced their own action movie. Multiple observations made over several months with the Chandra X-ray Observatory and the Hubble Space Telescope captured the spectacle of matter and antimatter propelled to nearly the speed of light by the Crab pulsar, a rapidly rotating neutron star the size of Manhattan.

ICBM aka MINUTEMAN III
rocket launching over Hollywood 9/19/02 was watching TV when, out of the corner of my eye, I saw the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile rising above the horizon. I grabbed my Canon G2 and dashed to the balcony. The view is from the hills of Silverlake looking west towards Hollywood. Unfortunately my tripod was in the car :/

The Homeless Guy jeden seinen BLOG
I first became homeless in the Winter of 1982. I was 21 years old then, yet had no idea how to take care of myself in this world. The past 20 years have been a struggle, trying to get a grip on what most everyone else considers to be normal life. I've never been able to fit into "normal." And I've never been able to fit into our society, which I doubt is anywhere near normal, either. I have discovered recently some of the causes of my problems and am working to overcome them as best as I can.

Paul Mathis wants you to drive him insane
His website allows you to turn the lights and computers in his house on and off, or force him to listen to Aqua or The Hamsterdance. I suspect he's already insane.

SILICON ART
Looking inside, Chipworks has found creative expressions on many of the chips that we have examined. Our combined facilities house six (6) optical microscopes that provide us with the magnification required to do our analysis work, as well as to discover the hidden art on some chips. Images are captured by Chipworks' own proprietary state-of-the-art software, Design Analysis Workstation (DAW) and are uncovered during magnification of the chip. Magnification based on the available space where the art is placed can vary anywhere from 200 to 500 times the actual size. We think that these masterpieces deserve a wider audience. Have a look at what we've found!
